About Our Beef
ALL NATURAL
LOCAL FARM RAISED
Our beef herd consists of Angus and Hereford crosses all born and raised right here at Sycamore Farm. Our animals are pasture raised throughout the summer where their diet consists of nothing but fresh grass and water. We keep our herd on a proper pasture rotation to prevent overgrazing which allows us to bale our own hay to feed them through the winter. If you’d ever like to see where your food comes from feel free to stop by and we’ll give you a tour.
NO ANTIBIOTICS
NO HORMONES
Sycamore Farms Meats offers a diverse selection of Connecticut Grown products. Recently, a certified butchering facility was added to the farm and Sycamore Farm Meats was formed by, Nick DiGioia. This has enabled Sycamore Farms to make custom made finished products for local restaurants, farmers markets, private orders and friends/family members. It also allows them to avoid high processing costs and long waiting lists for other butcher shops. Sycamore Farms sends its livestock to a Connecticut USDA slaughter facility to be slaughtered, and gets back its beef, lamb and pork halved or quartered. From there they process the halves or quarters to customers specifications. There is a high demand for Sycamore Farm Meats products, both in the direct to consumer and intermediated markets that they are involved in. To accommodate this demand, Sycamore Farms also added a small on-farm Retail Store. There they sell local agricultural products and their own farm products.
